*Janitorial Tech Job Description*
Janitor and Dishwasher Position Starting at $20/hour
*Responsibilities:*
As a Janitor at Laurelcrest, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of our facility.
You will follow strict cleaning schedules and processes to ensure the facility is maintained to meet regulatory requirements within a GMP certified environment.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Dish and Utensil Washing: Clean and sanitize all glassware, tools, and other items using triple bin sink protocol.
* General Laboratory Janitorial Maintenance: Completing all scheduling cleaning activities related to the laboratory and facility as required.
Specific tasks include, cleaning floors, doors, windows, fixtures, walls, and other surfaces.
* Chemical Handling: Safely and accurately prepare and apply sanitation chemicals and detergents according to established procedures, ensuring proper dilution and contact time.
* Daily removal of trash and recycling to appropriate disposal bins.
* Cleaning bathrooms, offices, hallways, and other common areas.
* Responding timely to unexpected janitorial requests as required.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, chemical usage, and inspections, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and reporting any discrepancies.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow food safety regulations, including those established by the FDA and USDA.
* Willing to complete other projects as assigned.

*Education and Experience*
* High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in food safety and sanitation is a plus.
* Previous experience in sanitation within a food production facility is preferred.
* Ability to operate sanitation equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds and perform tasks associated with sanitation activities.
* MUST BE 21 OR OLDER
