Plant Sanitarian and Plant Management *Required Training: * * General Safety Color Code Policy Chemical Safety * Hi-Lift Safety All Cleanup SSOPs Floor Scrubber Operation * Master Sanitation Freeze Tunnel Safety Pest Control Program Program / Tasks Specials Daily Reporting “Other” as assigned * Color Code Policy Equipment Specific Cleanup \*Chemical Safety Training is required every 6 months.
*Role Summary: * The Sanitation 2 or “Sanitation Special” primary responsibility is to ensure that their daily assigned area is maintained in safe and sanitary condition.
Sanitation 2 employees will be required to lead groups of Sanitation 1 employees to complete tasks assigned by the sanitation supervisor.
Sanitation 2 employees may be assigned to perform sanitation duties in any area throughout the facility.
*Key Responsibilities: * * Leads crews comprised of Sanitation 1 employees and carries out tasks assigned by their supervisor.
* Discuss issues, needs, adjustment, and tasks performed with the previous and oncoming shifts daily * Frequently handles concentrated chemicals * Prepares chemicals for use in the facility for current shift and oncoming shifts.
* Perform basic titrations to ensure sanitation chemicals meet concentration target ranges.
* Ensures that general sanitation employees assigned to them are staying on task and following policy and procedures * Performs hands on training for Sanitation 1 employees and new Sanitation 2 * Completes cleanup activities as assigned by the sanitation supervisors throughout the entire facility while following company policy and procedures * Work in an assigned area to ensure product contact surfaces, equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, overhead pipes, facilities, and plant premises are clean and free of soils, residues, and debris * Rinse, scrub, wash, and clean equipment as instructed * Empty trash, by-product bins, and by-product carts * Communicate with the sanitation supervisors when issues or broken equipment are identified * Reports unsanitary conditions, safety concerns, and general issues to the sanitation supervisor * May be asked to fill in as custodian * Additional tasks as requested by the sanitation supervisors or plant management * Perform cleaning duties inside of freeze tunnels before, during, and after production * Performs tasks assigned by production staff upon request *PNW VEG CO.

LLC dba NORPAC 4755 Brooklake Road NE, Salem OR 97305 Sanitation 2 Bracket Placement/Increase Criteria *BRACKETS: 3 – 5 * *BRACKET INCREASE ELIGIBILITY REQUIRMENTS * In addition to specific criteria for bracket increase within each position, employees must meet company standards and maintain good standing with regards to attendance, attitude, aptitude, respect, attention to detail, and follow through.
To be considered for bracket increase an employee must at a minimum: * Have no written warnings or other disciplinary actions on record within the last 6 months.
* Have good standing with regards to attendance by staying below 3 occurrences within the 12 months prior to the proposed bracket increase.
* Demonstrate a willingness to help and follow supervisor/ manager instruction.
* Demonstrate the ability and willingness to perform duties of the job correctly and thoroughly.
* Maintain a positive attitude with regards to the workplace and treat coworkers with respect at all times.
*SPECIFIC CRITERIA FOR BRACKET INCREASE * *BRACKET 3 * * Entry level for position.
*BRACKET 4 * * If an employee in this position meets the eligibility requirements for bracket increase and obtains a forklift certification with approval from plant management, the employee may move into this bracket if at the time of initial certification, the employee was Bracket 3.
* Employee shall have all necessary training listed in the job description completed and documented within the last 12 months.
* Employee must have worked a minimum of 12 months in the previous bracket to be eligible for this bracket increase.
* All key responsibilities within the job description must have been learned, demonstrated, and documented at some point in during the tenure of the employee in the current position.
* Employee must demonstrate the ability to perform all aspects of the position without the need for assistance.
*BRACKET 5 * * If an employee in this position meets the eligibility requirements for bracket increase and obtains a forklift certification with approval from plant management, the employee may move into this bracket if at the time of initial certification, the employee was Bracket 4.
