Customer Service/Order Clerk
Job Description

JOB DUTIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
This individual will work on customer’s requests for quotations computing accurate prices from material take-offs.
Ability to manage diverse efforts (point of sale order entry, up-selling, order inquiries, credit and billing, account management, supporting product queries, supporting technical issues, providing customer quotes)
Respond to answer and solve incoming inquires via phone, email, and cases
Accurately and efficiently resolve customer queries, gather information, and document all interactions appropriately within our customer relationship management tool
Collaborate with Team Members including Product Management
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and able to direct workflow
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
Excellent customer follow-up skills required
Review all jobs and ensure that the materials required for the job(s) are on-hand, purchased, and supplied to the production floor according to the production schedule.
Switching between multiple tasks is required daily; also, constant assessment of prioritization is required to meet both customer and business needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide lead times working in conjunction with VF master scheduler and other department managers, supervisors, and leads.
Oversee that the schedule is being met for all projects.
Communicate with the customer if the schedule is changed.
Must communicate any changes of the schedule with customer for approval.
Ensures that all materials are in stock and anything that is needed is ordered to complete the job.
Must respond same day or within 24 hours to customers and in quoting of products.
Also respond in 24 hours to customer requests and follow-up.
Process shipping in E2 and stage material for shipment.
Put all parts that are inventory for upcoming jobs and stock parts in assigned locations for all of the assembly shop.
Review orders and work with sales department to ensure that all information is on the work order from information on the bid sheet and is correct.
It is essential to make sure that the proper salesperson gets the credit for the sale.
Receive incoming equipment and ensure that all the information is documented and accurate
Walk-in customers, greet and take care of their questions including parts.
Work with accounting dept.
when filing assistance is needed
Before shipping, ensure with accounting if customer is needing to make payment terms or C.
