*General Position Summary*
Provide medically necessary, quality clinical services to Valley Mental Health clients, families, providers, and outside organizations in accordance with State OARs, ACA and applicable licensing board.
Support the philosophy, principles and characteristics of Valley Mental Health.
This position is for unlicensed QMHPs who have graduated with their masters who are interested in working towards having their own private practice.
Valley Mental Health trains and supports their employee therapists to be ready for the independence of having a private practice upon getting their license.
*Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:*
QMHP will provide services within the scope of practice of a QMHP, including but not limited to:
· Schedule between 21-35 VMH Clients per week, depending on your FTE, and work collaboratively with our team to provide excellent care.
· Evaluation for the presence of mental disease or disorder and diagnosis of the same based on the most current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association.
· Planning of treatment for diagnosed disorders.
· Treatment of mental disease and disorder by means of individual, group, marital or family psychotherapy.
Other professionally accepted therapeutic methods may also be used based on the need of the client and the abilities of QMHP.
· Coordination of care, including but not limited to exchange of information (as authorized by client or insurance provider) with referral source and primary care physician, consultation when appropriate, and contact with other agencies with which client may be involved.
· Ability to coordinate effectively with guardians, group home providers, case workers, family members natural supports, QMHAs, QMHPs and VMH administrative staff as needed
· Evaluation of progress in treatment and modification of treatment as indicated.
· Detailed documentation in the electronic health record of all treatment provided in compliance with Medicaid standards and Oregon Administrative Rules
*Secondary Functions:*
· Actively registered with applicable board and engaged in clinical supervision toward licensure.
· Participate every other week in group supervision with the VMH Clinical Supervisor until 6 months of employment, then participate a minimum of once a month.
· Participate in professional development opportunities as recommended by colleagues and the Clinical Director.
· Prepare for and participate in Valley Mental Health staff meetings.
