* Yamhill County has two regular full-time position for a Peer Support Specialist to work in the Yamhill County Community Support Services.
In this position you will work with multi-disciplinary teams and provide community-based services to assist individuals in accessing resources, addressing barriers related to their mental health, and developing skills that promote recovery and wellness.
Responsibilities include utilizing personal mental health experiences to provide mentoring and support; assisting individuals with utilizing recovery skills, providing linkage with local peer organizations and community resources, identifying strengths to achieve individual goals, and may provide both individual and group peer services.
Candidates must embrace the philosophy of resilience and recovery, be a role model for persons receiving mental health services and have personal experience with and knowledge of recovery.
