This position falls under the Information Systems Specialist 8 classification.
What you will do! As an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide support and maintenance for enterprise identity management systems and Cloud Based Systems for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Department of Human Services (DHS), community partners and customers.
You will serve as a point of escalation for technical issues as part of the Infrastructure Operation team with Customer Services and Support.
In this role, you will provide creative problem-solving strategies and utilize effective problem analysis for resolution of issues of complex scope for customer assistance, technical contractors, management, and systems operation staff.
You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and supporting agency-wide systems.
The systems will include but are not limited to: Microsoft Identity Manager, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Cloud Services (Entra ID, Identity, Security, Storage, Hybrid+MultiCloud), and On-prem based systems (Windows Servers, Domain Controllers, DFS, File and Print, DNS, DHCP, IPAM and Windows Certificates) and Monitoring tools.
In addition this position will work with the State Data Center to support the overall design and maintenance of the Infrastructure Operations components for networking and computer services for ODHS/OHA .
What we are looking for! SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Skilled in Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure, Entra ID) Proficient in Enterprise Active Directory Domain Services Proficient in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, etc.
) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Please clearly outline how you meet the minimum requirements and special qualifications in your application/resume/cover letter.
Failure to do so might disqualify you from consideration) (a) Seven (7) years of information systems experience in: Information Technology OR (b) An Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND 5 years of information systems experience in: Information Technology OR (c) A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND three (3) years of information systems experience in: Information Technology OR (d) Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in: Information Technology Desired Attributes Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong abilities to interface and collaborate between multiple departments, with strong customer service skills.
Organizational skills to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
Proficient in time and priority management Ability to understand business partner goals and advocate on their behalf Proficient in communication.
Experience with implementing and administering Azure Entra ID, Active Directory (Forests, Domains, Trees and Trusts), including but not limited to: Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS/SSO), DNS, DFS, DHCP, Kerberos and/or Lightweight Directory Services, File and Print services, Group policies and Certificate authority.
Experience with administering and maintaining cloud solutions across multiple public/government cloud offerings such as AWS, Google Cloud and/or Microsoft Azure/M365 Cloud Services.
Knowledge of cloud security technologies and concepts including but not limited to: Azure Information Protection, Azure Security Center, and/or O365 Security.
Knowledge and experience with Identity Management Products.
Understanding of modern Identity and Access Management concepts and best practices including but not limited to: A solid understanding of identification, authentication and authorization of a person, or persons, to have access to applications and systems permissions.
Expertise in scripting languages and automation including but not limited to: VBScript, Perl and/or PowerShell.
Knowledge and ability to plan and implement a server virtualization and network infrastructure on-premises and in cloud.
Experience and Knowledge in the following: Connecting to a WAN, Network Media, Routing and switching, TCP/IP and OSI models, IP addressing, WAN technologies, and MPLS networks.
Regarding CJIS: Ability to be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and Oregon State Police through a fingerprint-based criminal background check for access to criminal justice information (CJI).
Must be able to pass CJIS training and testing to CJIS Level 4 rating.
Requires a successful OHA background check, including a fingerprint-based national background check and abuse/neglect checks.

CJIS Background Check: The position you are applying for requires access to Criminal Justice Information (CJI) and therefore you must obtain CJIS clearance for unescorted access to a facility or system under the policy requirements set forth by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The CJIS background check will be conducted by the Oregon State Police for the Federal Government and is initiated by the hiring manager in coordination with our ODHS/OHA CJIS Coordinators in our Background Check Unit.
