BRIDGEWAY RECOVERY SERVICES
is currently seeking an
Intake Coordinator
to join our Medically Managed Withdrawal Clinic!
We are an elite team of professionals who all have a passion to see lives changed and relationships restored.
Bridgeway is a new kind of healthcare organization providing holistic treatment through addiction recovery, problem gambling treatment, mental health therapy, and primary medical care.
PRIMARY PURPOSE Schedules and maintains maximum utilization of available program space.
This position is the connection between clients in our community seeking help with detox services and placement into available program beds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages all requests for program services Screens potential Medically Managed Withdrawal patients via phone or in person.
Conducts updated screenings of clients who are waiting for services.
Schedules clients for services placing them into available beds.
Communicates with medical staff to ensure proper placement of clients into services.
Constantly monitors the admit and discharge of clients in the program to maximize program bed space usage.
Maintains call logs of all clients who contact us for services or who we contact to follow up for requested services.
Provides referrals or resource information to clients who do not meet program criteria Works with clients to find alternative services if our program is not appropriate or available Assists clients who do not have current insurance and need to complete the registration process.
Conducts the majority of client admits and discharges into the program Provides each client admitted with appropriate information and program orientation.
Inventories personal items and property.
Acclimates patient to facility and room.
Assists with maintenance of a therapeutic milieu.
Gives and/or receives verbal and written shift reports.
Provides support to patients in maintaining a calm, quiet environment by utilizing verbal de-escalation skills.
Offers emotional support and alternative coping strategies; boundary setting for and with patients.
Conducts patient count during scheduled intervals of shift.
Reports and documents incidents as described in policies and procedures.
Attends staff meetings and works as a team member to identify and implement quality of services.
Works closely with Transition Support Specialist(s) to arrange transportation and appropriate referrals.
Provides support and relief staffing for ATS positon Fills ATS shifts when needed.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists with groups as requested.
Assists with hygiene support (e.
g.
showers) when necessary.
Sanitizes mattresses makes beds and cleans bed stands during scheduled intervals of shift.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Experience, Education, and Credentials Typically requires a High School Diploma or General Education Certificate (GED).
Must be CPR/First Aid certified or become certified within two weeks of hire date.
In addition to a high school level education, the qualified candidate will generally be enrolled in a college-level degree program and be working towards gaining certification in a Human Services related field.
Peer Support Specialist or Traditional Health Worker certifications would be a plus.
Qualified candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated before the employment start date.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have the ability to display a non-judgmental attitude and desire to relate effectively with the chemically dependent person as they detox.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and time management skills are required to work effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, manage time and meet deadlines and understand and follow oral and written instructions required.
