*Connected-Mid Valley Home Health & Hospice* is hiring a *Hospice Aide (CNA) *to serve in our new *Willamette Valley area location (Salem/Woodburn).
*The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.
The hospice aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a patient's care.
*Essential Duties*
* Meet safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.
)
* Give personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens
* Assist in dressing and undressing patients
* Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping
* Assist in feeding the patient
* Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure
* Provide proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence
* Assist with bedpans and urinals
* Assist with light laundry needs
* Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service
* Keep patient's living area clean and orderly
*Requirements and Qualifications*
* Valid Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant certification
* Maintain current CPR certification
* 2+ years of experience in health care
* Be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order
